The odd otherworld
Very often I dream I am on a quest. I have armour on, ride a horse and am trying to decipher a map that is illegible under any light except that of the waning moon. Recently I discovered that smoky torchlight underground works as well.

I keep waking up and looking for my horse.

Now that is a cool thing to have a recurring dream about--much more fun than driving a car with brakes that don't work or having to take high school calculus ;-)

I've had the 'driving a vehicle with no brakes' dream too. I was driving a truck during WWII, I think.

There is a scene like that in my book--minus the moon/torchlight. Shall I send it to you?

Love it.

You've written a book? I'd love to read it!

I am working on a book: I have been for several years. Currently, I am "workshopping" it. I go every 2 weeks to a writer's group and read aloud the most recent portion. It's good.

The part I refer to in the post is in a different style to reflect the action. I don't have nearly enough of the book finished to offer it to read--yet. But you will see why I got excited by your post. Since the book is not yet finished, I would like to e-mail you that particular scene if it is okay with you. It is only a few lines....

I forgot to login when I posted my reply about the book. Sorry!

The dancer in the photo is Jennita Russo. I used to dance with her when I was a ballet dancer. She is a phenomenal dancer. But even more, she is a phenomenal, wonderful, nice and HUMBLE person. Everyone loved her.

This picture was taken from the internet and was captioned with her name, so I don't think she'll mind my putting her name here with it.
